Merryworth is also home to a gang of unique mice, a brood of chickens and two Little Big Cats who love nothing more than sharing the tales of their musings, ministry and mishaps – even though I’m usually the one attending to most of the work including the designing, creating, researching, blogging and the cleaning up!
With the clock ticking towards Christmas Day, I took the time to grab a few hours away from the hard work that I had been doing in the basement kitchen at 13 Piccadilly Terrace…
Today is Advent Sunday – the first day of Advent and here in Merryworth and as our excited young mice open the first doors of their Advent Calendar – the Rev. Suze waits outside St M’s Parish Church on this beautiful frosty morning.
Even if I haven’t exactly been ‘living it large’ here at Nicole’s House – I’ve certainly been having some ‘fun’ even though I have been busy with moving furniture and shifting plant pots while packing away the toys and putting the cherished family photographs into temporary storage.
And the reason for this interior upheaval?
As well as a passion for creating in 12th scale, the Regency world of the poet Lord Byron and chocolate – I also have an interest in the life of Nicole Brown Simpson.
I began to read about Nicole in the autumn of 1994 and have been reading about her ever since.
She was also the inspiration for the Ghost of Brentwood.
Fortunately, the vision for St M’s Parish Hall has been realised and this old and quaint parish hall has been created as a place for celebration and busy social interaction for besides the Christmas Coffee Morning to raise funds for Shelter- a UK charity offering assistance for those threatened with the loss of the very roof over their head and a Big Brekkie during Christian Aid Week.
We’ve also made ‘Pancake Promises’ for Lent…
Home to a gang of unique mice, a brood of chickens and two Little Big Cats who love nothing more than sharing the tales of their musings, ministry and mishaps from Merryworth Town…
Although I should add that I’m usually the one attending to most of the work including the designing, creating, researching, blogging and the cleaning up!
